About
Tom Berdo and Shaneman Jones were simply "Berdo & Jones," a duo hitting jams and open mics across eastern Iowa.
Chemistry on stage led to frequent requests to play and invitations to sit in with some of the areas favorite regional blues acts.
By the end of 2024, the humble duo took their Blues & Soul sound 600-miles south, playing sets at Clarksdale, Mississippi’s iconic Ground Zero Blues Club and Bad Apple Blues Club.
In 2025, with blues fans and fellow-musicians across the region asking “When are you two starting your own band?”, Berdo & Jones formed Soulbone Shakers — a gritty, soulful collective of a rotating lineup of well-known eastern Iowa players.
